NFC Emergency Tag

Our NFC Emergency Tag provides a simple way to make your chosen emergency and medical information accessible when you may be unable to communicate it yourself.

Simply tap an NFC-enabled smartphone against the tag to open your personal Emergency Profile. No special app is required.

Your profile can include information such as your name and photo, blood type, allergies, current medication, chronic conditions, medical aid details and emergency contacts.

NFC Emergency Tag — R100 once-off

Includes your NFC Emergency Tag, personal Emergency Profile and the first 12 months of Emergency Profile Service. Thereafter, the Emergency Profile Service can be renewed for R99 per year.

Your NFC tag remains yours. You do not need to buy another tag when you renew your existing profile.

 

 

 

How the NFC Emergency Tag Works

 

Using your Emergency Connect NFC Tag is simple:

1. Tap the Tag
Hold an NFC-enabled smartphone near the NFC Emergency Tag.

2. Open the Emergency Profile
The phone opens the linked Emergency Connect profile. No special app is required.

3. Access the Information
The emergency information you have chosen to make available can then be viewed on the smartphone.

4. Keep Your Information Updated
Your Emergency Profile can be updated when important details such as medication, allergies, medical aid information or emergency contacts change.

QR Code Emergency Service

 

Our QR Code Emergency Service provides a separate way to access your Emergency Profile using a smartphone camera.

Simply scan your Emergency Connect QR code to open the linked Emergency Profile and view the emergency information you have chosen to make available.

QR codes can be placed on suitable cards, stickers, personal belongings or other locations where you want your emergency information to be accessible.

Your Emergency Profile Service

 

Your Emergency Profile is where the emergency and medical information you choose to provide is securely managed and made accessible through your Emergency Connect product.

Information you can include may include:

• • Current medication

• • Chronic medical conditions

• • Medical aid information

• • Emergency contact details

• • Special medical instructions

Keep Your Information Current

Emergency information can change. Medication may be updated, emergency contacts may change, or your medical aid details may need to be replaced.

Your Emergency Profile Service allows your information to be maintained and updated so that the information you choose to make available remains current.

Annual NFC Profile Service

Your NFC Emergency Tag purchase includes the first 12 months of Emergency Profile Service. Before that service period expires, we'll send you a renewal reminder so you have an opportunity to review your information.

Thereafter, you can renew the service for R99 per year.

Let close family members or emergency contacts know that you use Emergency Connect and where your NFC tag or QR code is normally kept or carried.
